Our stated purpose of Good Shepherd Catholic Radio is as follows:
“The apostolate intends to operate one or more radio stations to broadcast Catholic religious and educational programs aimed at upholding and strengthening the Catholic Faith; originate local programming focusing on local Catholic events; broadcast Catholic news of local, national, and international significance; and assist the Diocese of Lansing, parish schools, and Catholic organizations with public service announcements both on the air and on our website."
In order to accomplish these goals, we must be on the air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This can only be accomplished with the total support of the Jackson Lansing Catholic Community.
Please consider how you can support this apostolate with your prayers and financial support. Your financial support of this apostolate, both large and small, will be gratefully accepted.

A series of meetings were held in various Lansing locations, during May, June and July, in order to
discuss the steps required to make Catholic Radio a reality in the Lansing metro area.
A number of Lansing residents, as well as representatives of Jackson’s Good Shepherd Catholic
Radio, and representatives of Ann Arbor’s Ave Maria Radio also attended.
These meetings resulted in the formation of a core group, who will begin holding additional meetings
to encourage others to:

“This is the day the Lord has made;
let us be glad and rejoice in it”
Good Shepherd Catholic Radio is proud to announce, that we have received the long awaited approval of the Federal Communication Commission, granting the assignment of 1510 a.m. and 93.3 f.m., from Spring Arbor University, to Good Shepherd Catholic Radio.
It has been a very long wait, nearly four years to the day, from the very first meeting that was held to discuss the formation of an apostolate, to bring Catholic radio to this area. Although it has been, what seems to be a long wait, it has also been a period of time filled with many special moments, and many special gifts from God. Each of those moments and each of those gifts, would never have been experienced had it not been for this period of time.
Our attorney and Spring Arbor University’s attorney, both of whom are based in Washington D.C., will be preparing the required closing documents that will be signed by representatives of Spring Arbor University and Good Shepherd Catholic Radio. Until those steps are more clearly defined, we are unable to provide an estimated on air date.
We thank all of you who have supported Good Shepherd Catholic Radio by your prayers and financial support. Please remember that each of you has a standing invitation to visit our studio for a tour and a first hand look at our progress.
